In 1610, astronomer and mathematician Galileo Galilei made a remarkable discovery.
While tinkering with his new invention, the telescope, he gazed up into the night sky and spied what he thought were stars near the planet Jupiter. Four of them to be exact, which he named the Sidera Medicea. After rigorous analysis he deduced that they were actually four of the planet’s moons. That was a remarkable discovery in itself.
But his discovery did something even more profound: it showed that, contrary to previous belief, Earth was not the center of the universe. That discovery dramatically changed everyone’s perception of the vast universe around them and, most importantly, their place within it. For good.
In business today, our perspective is shifting dramatically, too…
Social media have been called a lot of things. A fad. Just for the younger generation. Superficial. Pointless for business. Only useful as a promotional channel.
And we don’t believe any of that.
In fact, we believe that while social media may have their tactical applications, the real power of social lives in the bedrock of a business. In its culture, people, communication and systems. That social is something that a business is, inside and out, not just something that marketing does. We see a new center to the business universe, a center that needs a new kind of ecosystem – and balance – to thrive.
We’ve built a company dedicated to transforming organizations into social businesses.
