Like all of SideraWorks’ sessions, Social Scenario Modeling™ is highly interactive.
Developing social policies is typically anything but ‘fun’, so we took that on as a challenge and built a system to remove the pain while improving their effectiveness. Structured as a facilitated ‘game’ this session is designed to show you how to map effective social policies, the processes needed to support them, and the governance models to maintain them.
An example scenario might be “Your customer database was hacked into, passwords were stolen, and customers are demanding answers”. To accelerate the process, SideraWorks has built a library of these scenarios that purposefully emphasize one or more solution elements (policy, process, governance).
Each scenario has been designed based upon events that organizations have experienced in the real world. A ‘scenario’ is simply an event or a situation that your company might encounter that impacts or affects your social business strategy, processes, and organizational flow.
Participants, with guidance from our consultants, then work through the variables of a scenario response to define how their specific organization can put the proper measures in place. This includes tactical items like decision trees, issue routing, and role definitions as well as ‘soft’ aspects such as supporting cultural and educational requirements.
Scenarios are not simply based around control and risk mitigation, but also how to empower and incent your employees and advocates to participate in those activities that are beneficial to the organization. Finding the right balance between enablement and control is absolutely critical and our expert facilitators can help you achieve that balance while satisfying the needs of operational groups such as HR, IT, and Legal.
The session consists of
- Scenario development & selection
- Scenario prioritization
- Solution-mapping of the highest priority scenarios.
Every business needs this session. Whether you have decided to engage in social media as a business or not, your employees and customers are already there. You need clear policies, processes, and governance to mitigate risks and give your employees the guidance and education they need to participate responsibly.
